On February 8, 2017, from 7:00–9:00 p.m., join best-selling Christian author Shane Claiborne as part of the popular Tokens Show for a discussion on his new book Executing Grace: How the Death Penalty Killed Jesus and Why Its Killing Us.

In addition to an extended interview with Claiborne about his writing and theology around the death penalty, the night will feature other conversations on the death penalty, mass incarceration, and forgiveness with folks like Stacy Rector, director of Tennesseans for Alternatives to the Death Penalty (TADP); Jeannie Alexander, director of No Exceptions Prison Collective (NEPC); Cynthia Vaughn, who after 30 years forgave her father on death row for the murder of her mother; and more. Special music by popular singer-songwriter Derek Webb and other guests. Hosted by Tokens Show creator Lee C. Camp and Tenx9 Nashville Storytelling curator Michael T. McRay. All event proceeds go to benefit TADP and NEPC.
