On 05/05/05, at 5:05 p.m., a ministry was birthed that sought to bring Nashvilles Christian community together through music. Under the direction of John E. Coates, The Nashville Choir is an organization of professional-level Christian singers united to show Gods glory in the marketplace.

In its short history, TNC has appeared at several prestigeous events in the city including: the 2007 Community Hymn Sing with the Nashville Symphony Orchestra, and the Tennessee Prayer Breakfast with the Honorable Governor Phil Bredesen. TNC has shared the stage with such artists as: Michael W. Smith, Alison Krauss, Steven Curtis Chapman, Steve Green, Cece Winans, Buddy Greene, and Mandisa, and also had the privilage of recording “Just As I Am” for the new Billy Graham Library in Charlotte, North Carolina.

From the Sound Kitchen Recording Studios, to sporting events, from the Schermerhorn Symphony Center to the Nashville Rescue Mission, and all points in between, The Nashville Choir is building a reputation for delivering excellent choral music that celebrates the greatness of God.

Our Mission: “ To be a MUSICAL FORCE in the MARKETPLACE to the glory of GOD.” Our Vision: “To be a COMMUNITY of SINGERS united to SERVE Nashville.”
